Commercial Analyst

About the Role:

We're looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our Global Commercial team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong financial background, analytical mindset, and a passion for improving business performance through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate management Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for assigned cost centers.
• Compare performance against budget, analyze variances, and identify root causes.
• Prepare and present month-end performance reports.
• Execute quarterly reforecasting and annual budgeting processes.
• Support annual product road-mapping by consolidating project, revenue, cost, and launch data.
• Partner with Category Managers and Portfolio GMs to evaluate portfolio priorities and commercial trade-offs.
• Develop and maintain roadmap models, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Act as a trusted business partner by providing data-driven insights and financial recommendations.
• Prepare business cases for new products and perform scenario/what-if analysis.
• Support month-end financial reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to improve financial processes and develop scalable business decision tools.

What We're Looking For:

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field is valued but not mandatory.
• Practical expertise, problem-solving ability, and delivering results are highly regarded.

Experience

• Fresh graduates with strong technical skills and a proactive mindset are encouraged to apply.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 consulting firm or a fast-paced corporate environment.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, management reporting, and financial compliance.
• Advanced Excel, SQL, Python and/or R, DAX.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Power Platform (Power Query, Power Pivot).
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Azure SQL Server, and relational databases is an advantage.

AI & Automation

• Curiosity to learn and apply AI and BI/modelling tools.
• Interest in automating FP&A processes and improving reporting efficiency.
• Ability to develop structured, repeatable workflows that reduce manual effort.
